In 2005 Marc Hamilton founded Laboratoires EnvironeX. Today he is the president of Eurofins EnvironeX – the largest analytical laboratory in Quebec currently employing over 500 specialists, technicians, managers and professionals. His organization is responsible for over two millions microbiological and chemical analyses per year in the environmental, agrifood and health $ pharmaceutical sectors.

With close to 25 years of experience in the development of new companies in environment and health sciences, Marc Hamilton can be thought of as a natural visionary entrepreuneur who possesses a knack for instrumentation and innovation with the sole objective of improving science. He is among the few scientific managers whose innovative approach to the industry creates new methods and business solutions in the fields of medical and public health.

Founder and CEO of Bio-Médic between 1998 and 2014, Marc Hamilton firmly established his medical laboratory among the leaders of the field in Canada. In this role he built the software Bio-Analyse, in compliance with section 21 CFR part 11 of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) electronic standards provisions, which earned him an award in the Web Strategies Category at the 2004 ;Gala des Mercuriades (a prestigious business event in Quebec) as well as another award in the B2B Category at the 2002 ;Gala des affaires électroniques.

Marc Hamilton’s expertise is regularly sought after by the media for comments and analysis on subjects relating to the environment, especially drinking water and air quality.

Mélanie Lessard, TM

Vice-president of Operations

Mélanie Lessard is Vice-president of Operations at Eurofins | EnvironeX. She is responsible for the management of laboratory operations. She oversees the laboratories’ administrative and technical activities, guarantees that Eurofins | EnvironeX complies with security, quality and certification standards, implements action plans and strategic objectives set out by the organisation, and supervises the management of human resources pertaining to operations as well as organisational changes within each department.

A versatile manager and seasoned medical technologist, Mélanie Lessard performed the same duties at Laboratoires Bio-Médic, helping to bring this private medical laboratory to the forefront of its industry in the country. Throughout her career, she set herself apart from others with her ability to design solutions tailored to a client’s specific needs, to implement quality standards such as ISO 15189; ISO 17025, and to improve the level of operational performance; A context, while nurturing team cohesion and involvement towards upgrading the quality of services provided by the organization.

Langis Gamache, CPA, CGA

Vice-president of Finance

Member of Canada’s CGA and Quebec’s CPA, Langis Gamache is Vice-president of Finance of Eurofins EnvironeX.

Langis’ responsibilities include the optimisation of administrative and financial systems, budgets, cash flow management, audit and internal processes, tax planning, and the monitoring of performance indicators and trend charts.

Prior to joining Eurofins EnvironeX, Langis Gamache held several executive positions (20 years as Senior VP, 6 as DG and 12 as CFO) at Canadian subsidiaries of major international corporations such as Veolia Environment (Paris) and Mistras Group (NJ).

Langis Gamache has implemented many integration plans contexts, and has led many departments including: sales and business development, services, human resources, health, security, environmental compliance, IT and ERP development, while also being in charge of corporate governance, operational performance, strategic planning and objectives.
